Veronica studied dental hygiene at the College of DuPage and has advanced training in laser dentistry. Her passion is educating patients on the importance of oral health and how it relates to their overall wellbeing. I am an adrenaline lover, I enjoy hiking, kayaking, 4 wheeling, ziplining, going to the shooting range, rollercoasters. A lover of animals with 2 dogs and a parrot. Vacationing anywhere there are mountains is my favorite. My husband and I hope to retire in the mountains and own an animal sanctuary one day. Halloween is my favorite holiday; I dress up every year. I have worked in dental since I was 16 and am truly passionate about dental and helping people with their oral health.
Amy joined Grand Dental - Sycamore in 2018 and has been a dental hygienist for 16 years. Having worked in several different dental offices she says, “I believe what sets Grand apart is that they work hard to do everything in their patients best interest.” What makes Grand Dental - Sycamore unique to her is the family feel of the dental office and the fact that she is allowed enough time in her appointments to do the best she can! Of the Sycamore location she says, “We work well together and can accomplish anything.“
Amy attended John A. Logan College for dental assisting and Parkland college for dental hygiene.
Originally from LaPorte, IN, Amy has lived in Sycamore since 2004. She has a young son and daughter. In her spare time, she likes going to the beach, playing cards and board games, and finding great deals at garage sales.
Perla is happy to be serving her friends and neighbors as a dental hygienist. She attended Rock Valley College, and she is certified in local anesthesia and nitrous oxide. Plus, she is currently in the process of becoming laser therapy certified too. For her, the best thing about her job is educating and assisting patients in achieving optimal oral health.
Perla and her husband love using their free time together to go to baseball games and travel. She also enjoys running, riding her bike, and hiking. Here’s an interesting fact about her: before the pandemic, she did a lot of volunteering. She’s planning on getting back into mission work in the near future!
From Northlake, IL, Stacey has been in the field of dentistry for 14 years and counting. She began by studying at Harper College to become a registered dental hygienist so she could help maintain smiles. The best part of her work is being able to provide individualized care while educating her patients on how to maintain their oral health for the long term.
Outside of dentistry, Stacey loves spending time with her family and two children. She enjoys cooking and having amazing movie nights with her loved ones. She’s passionate about her work as a dental hygienist, but if she had to, she feels she would have pursued a career as a dermatologist!
Idalis grew up in Sycamore and has been part of the dental world for several years. The best thing about her job is being able to educate patients with treatment and recommendations tailored to their needs to improve their oral health. She studied at Kishwaukee College for her undergraduate degree before attending Rock Valley College to obtain her license in dental hygiene. She’s also certified in nitrous oxide, local anesthesia, and CPR.
Away from the office, Idalis lives with her partner and their pet golden doodle in Cortland. She enjoys being active, traveling, shopping, and spending time with her family and loved ones. One fun fact about her is that she used to play the violin!
Vicki has been in the dental field for well over four decades and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to our patients at Grand Dental - Sycamore. Her favorite part of her job is being able to work with an amazing team every day. Over the years, she’s had the opportunity to watch her patients start off in the office as children and grow to have families of their own that she cares for. She feels so fortunate to work alongside such great dentists with extraordinary skillsets, and she loves seeing patients leave the office with a more confident smile.
Originally from DeKalb, Illinois, Vicki is married and has two daughters and grandchildren. Outside of the office, she loves spending time with her family and friends and traveling. An interesting fact about her is that she loves to laugh and that it requires more muscles to frown than smile!
Kevin joined the Grand Dental team as a dental hygienist in 2021. For him, being a part of a team that is passionate about patient care and dental hygiene is extremely rewarding! Kevin pursued his degree at City Colleges of Chicago and received his dental hygiene degree from Rock Valley College in 2019. Following his university education, Kevin received additional training in CPR, Local Anesthesia, Soft Tissue Laser therapy and Nitrous oxide.
I love my profession and building rapport with my patients. It is important to me to address their specific dental needs and educate them on preventative treatment. Outside the office, I enjoy spending time with my wife traveling and going to music concerts. I am a big fan of music and would love to attend a heavy metal concert on a cruise one day. I also enjoy spending time with my sister and her kids. Some of my hobbies are swimming, hiking, and trying new foods.
