Advanced Dental Services & Technology – Sycamore, IL

Making Use of the Latest Technology

Grand Dental – Sycamore is dedicated to making treatments not only high quality, but fast, convenient and comfortable. We do this by bringing in the latest dental technology and stocking our dental office with dental instruments that make your visits better. For example, intraoral cameras and digital X-rays ensure we can catch small problems early and treat them before they cause any harm.

Intraoral Camera

With an intraoral camera, which is a small handheld dental device, we can obtain a magnified image of your teeth and gums, display these images on a nearby monitor, and show you what we see in real-time! This way, you can stay engaged and informed throughout your appointment.

Digital X-Rays

While dental offices of the past would use film to perform X-rays, our methods skip the harmful chemicals and high radiation to get the job done. By going digital, the images are easier and cheaper to produce and achieving a clear image of your mouth’s underlying structures, all while reducing radiation by over 90%, ensures a faster and safer visit overall.

CT/Cone Beam Scanner

In order to capture 3D images of your teeth, oral tissues, nerve pathways, and bone, we make use of a CT/Cone Beam Scanner. In some cases, digital X-rays don’t provide the information we need to complete a treatment, such as dental implant placement. Once we have enough detail about your mouth and facial structure, creating a treatment plan and minimizing complications becomes substantially easier.

Soft Tissue Laser Dentistry

Plan on getting gum recontouring? Does your child need a frenectomy? Looking for gum disease therapy? You’ll likely see us using a soft tissue laser. This handheld device makes use of precise light beams to carefully remove infected or overgrown oral tissue. With no scalpels or sutures to be seen, you can expect a treatment that is more comfortable, eliminates bleeding, lowers recovery times, and reduces the risk of infection.
